Johann Sebastian Bach came from a long line of musicians, whose music influenced his own, and his impact on vocal music into the future is undeniable. This concert presents music by Bach’s forebears Johann Christoph and Johann Ludvig, as well as music by Felix Mendelssohn, who championed Johann Sebastian’s music decades after it had fallen out of favour. And, of course, we will hear from J.S. himself in Immortal Bach!
