I Will Hold You is a stirring music film that addresses some of the most pressing issues in our polarized society today. In numbers greater than ever, people are forced to escape war, oppression, failed states, poverty and increasingly, the devastating effects of climate change. Interweaving cinematic performance imagery with newsreel footage of urgent crises unfolding in our world, I Will Hold You features four compelling choral works that challenge us to choose compassion and responsibility for one another over fear - and to hold a mirror to ourselves and ask: How can we live together?
The Elora Festival is hosting non-ticketed matinee screenings of I Will Hold You at The Gorge Cinema throughout the festival. Please consider making a donation to the Elora Festival as admission.
The Elora Singers wish to acknowledge the generous support of Alex Miller, esri Canada, and Canada Council for the Arts.
