Escape Earth’s gravitational pull for a brief moment by joining the Studio de musique ancienne de Montréal!
Through a selection of a cappella Renaissance motets referencing the stars and sky, take some time to reflect on cosmic orbs, the sun, angels, the Queen of Heaven, and divine light.
Renaissance masters, like Dufay, Palestrina, Victoria, Tallis, and Byrd, arranged the diverse voices of their polyphonies like the path of celestial bodies, each brought to life through different movements, while all corresponding to one another, to recreate the harmony of the spheres.
